Hannah Jones’s Vision statement:                     

Hiya! I’m a proud hair professional, I’ve been working for 14 years and counting! I was very fortunate to always know from a very young age that I was going to be in the hair industry. It all started when I was at play school just 3 years old. All the other children would dress up as doctors, and nurses, playing with dolls and prams, tractors and cars. Well, I had my own hair salon! My customers were the teachers. One sat with a knitted blanket as a gown, bowl on her head with some tangled brushes sticking out setting her hair. And the other patiently letting me comb her hair and adding sparkly clips! Fabulous! After I finished school I went straight into an apprenticeship until I qualified, then left to launch myself as a self-employed hair professional, renting a chair. Becoming a freelance hair professional straight after completing my training seemed like the best thing for me. I had the freedom to be my own boss, work the hours I wanted but I didn’t have any experience! This was the biggest learning curve! So, after a year of working, my mum went back to college and qualified as a hair professional too. 3 years on and I was still renting a chair, I’d now met my husband, and we began to grow a family of our own. My mum had a spare room in her house not being used which we then realised would be a perfect home salon space. With the strongest support from her and our families setting up what is now known as The Little Hair Shop, allowed us how we envisioned it to be. Giving me the opportunity to have a business but importantly still providing high quality service experiences with a relaxing and comforting homely/inviting atmosphere. The Feedback from our guests showed they can sometimes feel overwhelmed or intimidated walking into a high street or city salon, plus adding the difficulty to find convenient parking. At The Little Hair Shop we provide convenient safe parking with a smaller intimate homely comforting salon space offering 1;1 exclusive appointment experience. As a L’oreal Matrix colour master, I focus mainly on my skills and knowledge of colour. I like to think of colour as make-up for your hair! Using my knowledge and experience gained, I love to read my clients’ hair, learn about their own hair and scalp journey, discover what they have done previously and figure out exactly what they want and how I can deliver a personal colour and style solution tailored just for them. As a Colour expert, I don’t just look at your hair, I focus on all aspects such as your skin tone, eye colour, lifestyle, and product solutions you use and learn about how YOU take care of your hair. By doing this, I exclusively offer packages that are tailored to each hair colour service from consultation tips that you can use at home, and home care packages, to keep your hair and colour fresh, ensuring as a valued guest of The Little Hair Shop that we are here to acknowledge all your hair needs in a homely comforting space. Plus also allow our guests to take home with them, a little bit of our knowledge and solutions to have great-looking hair.
